IEPs

Each student at CHILD has an Individualized Education Program (IEP) which outlines goals and ensures that he/she experiences success in school.

IEPs are tailored to each child’s unique needs, which are identified during an evaluation process. Each plan is designed with consideration of how the student’s disability or behavioral concern affects learning, and includes modifications and accommodations to facilitate the outlined academic and behavior goals. CHILD provides comprehensive programming and support required to achieve these desired outcomes.

Our success is measured by our ability to help each student reach the goals outlined in their IEP, as well as any other lagging skills that are identified. Once this is achieved, we aim to effectively transition students from our full-immersion program to a more mainstream school. This typically occurs within one to three years.
